Let’s kick things off with a Halloween classic: Mummy Dogs! These adorable (and slightly creepy) appetizers are perfect for all ages.
Ingredients:
- Hot dogs or sausages
- Refrigerated crescent roll dough
- Mustard or ketchup for eyes
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the crescent roll dough into thin strips.
- Wrap each hot dog with the dough strips, leaving a small gap near the top for the “eyes.”
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.
- Add small dots of mustard or ketchup for the eyes, and your Mummy Dogs are ready to haunt the dinner table!
These are perfect served with a side of “blood” (ketchup) for dipping!
2. Witch’s Brew Punch
No Halloween gathering is complete without a signature drink, and my Witch’s Brew Punch is sure to enchant your guests!
Ingredients:
- 1 liter lemon-lime soda
- 1 liter ginger ale
- 1 quart lime sherbet
- Green food coloring (optional)
- Gummy worms and eyeballs for garnish
Instructions:
- In a large punch bowl, combine the lemon-lime soda and ginger ale.
- Add scoops of lime sherbet to the bowl.
- Stir gently until the sherbet begins to melt and form a frothy, green brew. Add a few drops of green food coloring for extra spookiness!
- Float gummy worms and candy eyeballs on top for a creepy finishing touch.
Serve in cauldron-shaped cups or with dry ice for an extra eerie effect!
